First up, available from Aldi soon is the over the shoulder goon dispenser! Also good for going to the shops or walking the dog.

Bluetooth speaker for when the sounds of nature just aren't cutting it.

An electric guitar. With a solar powered amplifier.

At the risk of down votes... Kindle/e-reader and earphones when the sights and sounds need blocking or augmenting,
Internet for weather or match scores and phone to call the family everynight.

This reminds me of the TV ad on at the moment where a group of mates are out in the bush and they all gather around a phone to watch the horse racing.

Quite sad, really.

The ability to walk away from modern life. Its expectations, the social media rage machine, the stress of being a cog in society.

And to realise once you have deguassed your mind of all that, that you are truly free, finally.

Even if you have to be back at work on Monday. :)

I suppose I can't tech shame. I'm certain that there are individuals who shun lightweight sleeping mats and head torches. Freedom is a personal perspective and a matter of degrees.

Hey Neo you bring the wine -I've got the telly! :D
Cricket on the AAWT-you ripper. Might be a bit cramped in the tent though-do I need a satellite dish for this?
Now I just have to tune the Banjo for a bit of picking in the ad breaks and I'll be right as rain.

Lamont a mini projector would be easier to pack, I was just around some wetlands and thought a banjo would be surreal!

Deliverance? Let's just say I'm no Earl Scruggs. He of the absolutely smokin' banjo! ........ Crolly could join in with his mouth organ.

Strangely the weird looking guy (Billy Redden) in that scene couldn't and still can't play the banjo... https://youtu.be/PBgxdROTTrE

I know, I was devastated too. Can I play the spoons in your band?

I'm telling you Neo -if it's not Earl Scruggs or this wee Mollydooker on the banjo forget it!
I've sat next to him on that log in many a dream.
Sublime skills.

If you want to get a little fancier than the over-the-shouder-goon-holder, here is some advice from mapworld. Hello Bibbulmun!:

Ah yes, I see the advantage of the Qantas wine club over the Aldi goon bag: I shell out around $7k for enough plonk to float a reasonably sized battleship and they will thrown in a FREE flight on the red eye from Perth to nowhere on a date convenient only to themselves. Brilliant! Sounds like a win/win to me, I will be unconscious with alcoholic poisoning and they will have my $7k.:)

There are excellent ideas above. I found a few. Firstly, for larger bushwalking parties, up to 400 people.

Sleeping mats are blown up, so why not a tent? This model has a good view of everything.

Finally, for the light-weight enthusiast. Please note that it's a bit cramped inside.
