That is awesome, beautiful work.

How long do it take you? And just for the floor? What did you seal the floor with?

That microwave shelf is really cool and a good idea. No photos of it in use though, like there was of the old one :-)

Are those new doors full wood or laminated?

Kitchen took about 3 months to get a working kitchen again, from demolition to using the new.
Can't remember how long the floor took, maybe a few weeks - problem of doing it yourself.
The floor was sealed with Cabolts CFP Water Based, gloss. 5 coats. (A bit excessive). The benchtop and cupboard doors and drawers were done with the same product but in satin, and 9 coats.
No, the old microwave wasn't in use, that was just a convenient place to put a cake beside it... Good spot though!

Those new doors are solid wood, 20mm thick.
As I said on the linked page,
The cupboard doors and drawer fronts are all Tas oak as well, I built them myself. All butt jointed & biscuited. I built the drawers as one panel, matching the grain as best I could from a large selection of timber I had to choose from, then worked out where the drawer cuts would be going before I glued it all together. I did that so I knew whether any joins should not have biscuits - when I cut the drawers I wouldn’t be cutting through a biscuit and leaving an unsightly half cut biscuit in the join.

And yes, the coffee machine IS indeed installed back on the bench in the position it was in the old kitchen. Those photos were done just after I'd finished construction.

Thanks everyone for your comments.

Hmm i meant, no photos of the whole kitchen in use, but I can easily see how I might have been referring to the microwave. So no ... i didn't spot that it was in use!
