Kosciousko Main Range

Postby Lizzy » Tue 02 Feb, 2010 10:50 am

Hello,
Just managed to escape again for another stroll. Went up from Thredbo and did a lovely walk up to Rams Head Range, Kosciousko, Muellers Peak, Mt Townsend, Lake Albina then up and over to Blue lake and camped near Little Twynumn and out via Charlottes pass. Weather was fantastic- if anything a bit hot! Still even a few patches of snow about- now an orangy colour.
Cheers Lizzy

Hi Lizzy,

How were the flies? Planning a trip in a few weeks a bit further north.

Hi- Flies weren't too bad- there were certainly a few about but not enough to bug me :) There was a bit of a breeze so maybe that helped... Also in case you have not heard and are interested the visitor centre at Jindabyne rents out PLB's for $20 for up to 2 weeks.
Cheers

Hi Lizzy,

Thanks for the pics, I love it up there but so far have only done day walks or MTB'd. Need to put at least an overnighter on the To Do list.

Cheers,

Horrendous. The Main Range doesn't get the worst of them - Jagungal does.

Have fun. Carry plenty of repellent.
