Perhaps park staff are just sick of hearing complaints from campers. Now they can say they provided a warning, so the punters are at fault for not checking the park alerts!

There is no parks alert for ticks at the moment. Not that i've ever seen one.
I was up on Main Range last weekend (SEQ that is) and we got three.
The next day on TV it was on the news that ticks are exploding in numbers in SEQ.
Ever on the search for a one ended stick.
