Alternate track to Pine valley hut

When was the last time any of you used the old track to pine valley hut? It started before the bowling green coming from Bert Nichols.

'89 (my first OT trip). It was a good route, but I'd guess it's invisible now. I don't know how much time it really saved for people walking in from the North, but it was enough to be worthwhile at the time.

Ok, so its been closed for 20 years at least? I agree, it wouldn't be a shortcut now!
