As above, plan/research for future walks...plus give you a goal/list to work towards.
Car camp, cave walk, surf/river/lake fish, drive up to a lighthouse bluff and be blasted by the prevailing winds, collect oysters from a secret spot, spotlighting at night, sand between the toes on a deserted moonlit beach...
Improve you health, keep up a basic fitness routine...
Keep your mind busy with hobbies if you can't get out...I was off work for 6months with a back injury about 4years ago, tied flies for trout fishing, muck around with leatherwork, linocut printing etc etc in between lots of Physio. Stuff i was interested in, that usually got sidelined due to real world family/work commitments.
