Rookie, whats the worst that can happen. ;)

Wade, if it's any consolation, you are not alone in having done that horrible slog down and up Nobs Tk. I met a walker a few weeks ago near The Nobs who made that same diversion, unaware of its steepness and doing it after sunset. He had no knowledge of course of the even more horrible blackberries infesting the creek. Somehow negotiated them by torchlight. But all of those considerations paled into insignificance when he started thinking on the way back to his pack left beside the track that just maybe he might not find it on that moonless night. He described that as a typical rookie error, which naturally he's never going to make again.

I had a look at Wade and his movements today and he walked off limestone track and heading towards Claire creek.

Had not seen anything for 2 days and was wondering how he was, still going :D :D :D

He's following the AAWT going that way. It follows up Claire Ck then Stony Ck to Cowombat Track.
He seems to be doing a great job, given his self declared rookie status and it looks a lot like he was selling himself short.

At least he is still going well, and I agree that he is doing supremely well given his self proclaimed "Rookie" Status

He is still going well, I love watching him day by day and he is powering along.

Question for me is, is his next stop for a break and stuff at Thredbo ? He does not seem to far from it by my reckoning he would be around 20km from it.

Wade has done a great job getting to Thredbo, but nothing on the Spot for several days now. Any news as to whether he is going to pick up the rucksack or not? I would be a real achievement for him to finish the last leg to Tharwa.

Good news, it looks like Wade will finish today :D

Wade,

Congratulations on the achievement, that was a very good effort :!: I'm imagining that you not only learnt a fair bit about the bush but also about yourself as well?

Cheers

Rookie, what's the BEST that could happen?

Completing the trail, alive, and with the compelling urge satisfied!

Looking forward to the jubiulant "Done!" post. Way to go!

Well done Wade, I've watched that little orange icons slowly roll out all the way from just out of Walhalla to just out of Tharwa. Sensational result and enjoy the last day. We all look forward to a couple of photos when you've caught your breath and had a looong sleep in. Welcome back from the real world to the synthetic world we have to live in when we aren't walking.

DONE. Thanks everyone! Follow my FB page trektrektravel for pictures to come and YouTube updates.

Should a Rookie attempt this? Nah, but do it anyway.
