Has anyone been to the Flinders after the recent rains?

Postby beardless » Tue 20 Jan, 2015 9:56 am

I read there was record rainfall up north of SA in the last week or so. (my lawn in Adelaide is all green andhave hardly watered it). I would be interested to hear any reports or see photos from the Flinder from the last week. I am thinking of a weekend jaunt up there if it is looking special.

We were stranded for 1 day after 12mm of rain at Grindells hut a few years ago
It was great fun and I can think of many worse places to be stranded!

I know exactly what it looks like because this happened during one of my earlier visits. Roads washed out, camping grounds flooded, tracks just disappearing . . .
