SQL, Hotels and Restaurants

Postby Son of a Beach » Mon 10 Nov, 2008 6:37 pm

Well, work has sent me off the Melbourne for the week to learn more SQL. Not exactly exciting stuff.

BUT, I gotta say that the Hotel Charlsfield in Melbourne is absolutely brilliant! And the restaurant is absolutely amazing. I'm very much looking forward to going through more of their menu over the next couple of nights.

Yeah, well, hopefully it's nice and high so you can practice your walking and build your fitness in the stairwells...

Carlton is usually at the bottom of the ladder.

They are on top. Most premierships ever? Carlton with 16! Eight of them in my life time. Only Hawthorn have won more in my life time. Most people ever at a grand final? Carlton/Collingwood in 1970. Same game that Alex Jesaulenko took the greatest ever mark. (For the record, Carlton beat Collingwood). Where's Carlton? Above Collingwood! Young people these days - no appreciation of genuine quality.

I think he was referring to Cats supporters
Sos took a pretty good mark at the G once and I was there to see it. Here it is in an advert - note the 11 second point, and the 15 second point.
Here it is again in a better video, at the 2 min 24 second mark... - note also the one at 1 min 30 seconds...
Don't know whether it was as good as this one from Jezza though.
But I do remember it... That at the next break the big scoreboard flashed big words WATCH THIS for about 15 seconds, then they played it as a replay in slow motion. It truly was amazing to see that.
Yeah, I know - Off topic. But I don't care at the moment as I am in the final stages of packing for an assault on the South Coast track tomorrow... 8)
Feeling really good now, having seen that mark again. Lots of memories.
And for the record (out of my head), crowd was 72,505 people, Carlton were in front with 5 minutes to go and Silvagni let his man go, Carlton lost by 17 points. I reckon he was suffering a bit of jetlag after flying that high...
