I was just looking through some pictures from a trip MJD and I did at the end of winter this year and realised some of the scenery was quite stunning. Thought i'd share.

Quality is poor as they have been resized to fit onto posting size for this forum, but you get the idea.

nice stuff iluv, thanks for putting them up! snow cover on the higher peaks looks great in contrast to the surrounds. plus the mists hovering over the lake! espesh like the first few with the water reflections

cheers bro. yeh it was a surreal experience being up so high, sitting in t-shirts with no wind... snow everywhere, yet quite mild! a very memorable trip.

Here's a pic of ILUVSWTAS and a panoroma looking west to part of the Franklads and all of the Wilmot Range. I reckon that Sprent is on the far right. And guess what: I've got a version of the first photos as my wall paper - a magic view once we had escaped from an unnecessary (as it later turned out) bit of scrub.

Thanks.

I dont do daypacks unless it's an all day sidetrip, I just stuff my coat pockets full with whatever i need, and tie it around my waist.

Yer, I'm a bit the same. It's a good change when it's just a few hours.
Easier when there's plenty of water around, which is seldom the case up here.
