Stewart Island Photos

Postby Mwill301 » Mon 01 Feb, 2016 3:47 pm

Hi all,
Thought I'd share some photos of wildlife from a recent trip to Stewart Island NZ whilst armed tramping for whitetail deer. First couple are of a leopard seal that visited the bay for a few days. Followed by some of Pied shags on nests. The last is of a Australasian Harrier at Masons Bay foraging through tussock - what for I could not tell.
Cheers

Nice, i've heard of the abundant wildlife and conservation efforts down there.
You may know, watch that seal, don't trust those doey eyes. I found out the hard way, even when apparently knackered, can still move like lightning :)
