Rinadena Falls and Little Fisher Valley

Sat 18 May, 2013 9:11 am

As mentioned elsewhere Rinadena Falls are looking spectaculaer after the recent rains.
The Fungi are doing really well at the moment also.
I will only put up a few pics and if you wish to see any extras you can view them here https://www.dropbox.com/sh/gzrjycckr9rn0qx/msekf1ckmN

There are some fungi photos as well and if you can put up with the good and bad more can be viewed here https://www.dropbox.com/sh/0cpkiqh77pn9hl5/TVFAoQ_fzt

Love the falls and the crazy blue fungi are out of this world

Ta Dave.

Thanks Tibboh, those little blue ones are the best example of them we have seen so far this year.
Up until now they have been washed out or have been quite translucent so it was great to see some solid colour.

The past two weeks have seen a dramatic improvement in the Fungi stakes much to the wifes enjoyment, she is fanatical about them and that's not a bad thing except it takes twice as long to get anywhere :-)

One of my favourite short walks that one, and a great way to access some nice lakes on the plateau. I sometimes wonder if my car is going to be the first one to completely fall through that bridge. Quite a decent drop into the river beneath, and it's always a bit of a nervous exercise driving over it.

You got a good angle on the falls - always a bit tricky to capture through the trees. And fungi look fantastic.

I'm not the only one then! Glad the bridge is still there, for better or worse. Lovely photos, Davo. I must get back there soon and climb a couple of peaks via the falls. :)

oh no! That makes such a wonderful walk much less accessible.

Can't blame them though, I was always afraid of falling through that bridge when driving over it. It had to happen some time.

And I can't imagine they have any motivation to replace the bridge, unless forestry increases on the other side of it. :-(

I was starting to wonder if it'd be BYO planks to get across, so it had to happen. Sad though. :(
