Grail Falls

Postby Davo1 » Fri 12 Apr, 2013 9:27 pm

Around 20 pics from our trip today to Grail Falls. What a brilliant day in paradise.
Only seen one snake, seen more snakes in the past few weeks than we've seen all summer.
Missed a pic of a young wedgetail eagle, there was plenty of Black Cockatoos.

I wonder how many years before this little fella succumbs to the floods?

Anyone know what this one turns into? It was huge, I'd guess at around 4 inches.

A very enjoyable part of the walk.

Sorry about the quality, I always enjoy this view on the way home.

Last lot, my camera skills didn't really do justice to the photos of the sun. It was an awsome display of colours due to smoke that I assume was a result of foresty burnoff.

That's it, been a great day and I'm now off to bed for a good nights kip.

Good one Davo, realised i'd not seen many nice pics of the falls. I suppose most people grab them when heading somewhere else. Well done.

Thanks Nuts.
I'd like one day/s (trip) to do all the falls from Grail via Never Never and Kia Ora to Lees Hut.
I've never done that and I think it would be special.
