Overland track hiking partner 25 Nov 16

Postby mark electric » Sun 13 Nov, 2016 6:27 pm

I start the OLT hike Friday morning 25 Nov 16 as a solo hiker.
Prefer to walk with someone or just look out for one another.
Cheers from Mark

If I did it again I'd go alone.

Hehe - if you are like most of us here, you'll be looking more to escape the crowd than seeking out company.

But if it's company you crave, there'll be plenty of it.

Gotcha, I get it.
I will soak up the scenery and experience like a sponge.
Am excited (which can be rare).

On the 25 Nov there are only 13 spaces left, so that means there are 21 other "independent" hikers starting the track the same day as you - not to mention the "Cradle Huts" hikers and guides.
As the day approaches chances are more people will also book so there will be plenty of people around dont worry.

Hopefully I wont get sick of myself Dan :)
I was going to go solo, then with Tas expeditions, back to solo.
Seems like a lot go by themselves.
6 days on the Cooloola great walk, only saw one other hiker.
