Australian Alps Walking Track - Black River

Postby BennySpenny » Sat 01 Mar, 2014 1:28 pm

I'm walking the AAWT from Mt Victor to Rumpff saddle shortly with a friend. Can anyone advise on current track conditions on this section? Is the track overgrown in the Black river area?

Thanks kindly,

Benny Spenny

Do you have the Rooftop's Jamieson - Licola Adventure Map, Edition 2013, which was field checked in 2012. I find it useful.

John Chapman maintains an update page on the AAWT.

I walked the AAWT in Nov/Dec 2013, I walked N to S. the track from Mt Singleton to Black River was excellent. It had been recently cleared and I had no problems. It does take time going along the river section as track is narrow and undulating. Fantastic journey though. Enjoy your walk
