sleeping at Christchurch airport

Postby juney » Fri 02 Mar, 2012 8:08 am

Has anyone tried to sleep at Christchurch Airport since the beginning of this year? It used to be pretty normal to sleep for a few hours if you arrived on the midnight service while you waited for the morning bus, but apparently from the start of this year they have banned lying on the floor. Any first hand experience with this? I am wondering if they are enforcing it or turning a blind eye.
Otherwise any suggestions on the cheaper alternatives for taxi/accomodation etc while waiting for the morning bus?
Cheers :D

I've seen plenty of sleepers on the floor still. Right up the end of the international arrivals hall (at taxi rank end). Perhaps they are not vigoursly enforing this?
