Trekking the TA-another update

Postby oldmanwalking » Sun 22 Nov, 2015 10:45 am

This is a re-post from another thread........just covering all the bases.

Having already posted here regarding my initial plans to trek (tramp) the Te Araroa (TA) in New Zealand this year, sadly things haven't worked out as I had hoped. Serious foot injuries and on-going treatment has meant that despite my best efforts I feel it best to postpone this venture until next year, thus giving me time to fully recover and regain full fitness.

So, again if anyone is remotely interested in perhaps joining me for 2016 I should be only too pleased to hear from you. Or if you just want more information please feel free to drop me a line.

Cheers

Norm

Thanks for that Uncle Rumple.....I know he's on the trail via the TA FB page.

The misus and I will be doing TA 15-16 also. I couldn't commit to a full hike with you at this stage but feel free to pm me your dates in case we can meet up for part of it or something like that.

Likely meeting another friend or two for the south island. (He isn't keen on the first half because he's done most already)

The original plan was to start about now, but as mentioned, circumstances have delayed the start until 2016, preferably as early as possible, so looking at September or October, if interested...?
