reminder: Milford sound has the world record for being the wettest place in the world at sea level. up to 8 metres of rain a year. up to 5 metres in 6 months. up to half a metre in a day... to give you an idea what it can be like. just stand under your shower. the south island is the last place you should try crossing a stream thats above low water flow..
