i've been in the area then,, should be OK, there is a chance of a big snow dump , but they usually come after april.. early april better than late, thers usually a lot of settled weather around autumn, but the storms also eventually start brewing, but the snow dumps may not come till late may or june...
weather this summer has been primo mainly settled, very dry, although this week is a crap one. and i'm still waiting to get enough leave to go on holiday dammit.
april isnt getting too cold in the scheme of things, still sub zero at night but in the teens or high single digit during the day...
expect ice around the passes and some snow,
from the land of the long white clouds...
