Pimp my gear

Postby doogs » Mon 13 Feb, 2012 3:02 pm

Ever wanted to pimp your gear because you are bored of the plain old functionality of it and its lack of fun? Well I have, and I am not the "quirky" type of person to stick "My Family" stickers on the back of my pack  so fellow walkers can see my opinion of my family. I have a far more off beat sense of humour  . I am thinking of ways to alter my gear both to amuse myself and people with a similar sense of humour to myself (if there are any). Today I had the house to myself, so I made a cup of tea and got into some hardcore sewing. The result? well I am pleased with it, probably not to everyones taste and could probably scare a few if Istaggered into Pelion Hut on a wild winters night. So here it is.

I encourage anyone else who has or is going to pimp their gear to post a picture here :D

Well doogs, with that as a first entry I think this topic would be more aptly titled 'Gimp my gear', thats the first thought that popped into my mind anyway

Couple that with a clown suit and you're on a winner.

That would work well for a friend of mine .
I would add a zip pull to speed up the closure in his case.

Rest assured that if you are still the same ....you are different.

When you go into production, please use one of those waterproof zips.

Nice!

I have a walking buddy that needs one of these!! (He won’t shut up). And he is a gimp anyway so it would be the perfect gift. ;)

you should sell these.

Stonie.
