Attaching an Aldi quilt to an EE Enigma

Postby Adrian Valley » Tue 19 Mar, 2019 1:39 pm

I'm heading off to the Indian Himalaya in May/June where the temperature will vary from 48C to below freezing and I'm wanting to take a versatile sleeping system. I have the idea of taking a thermal liner, the EE 20F quilt and an Aldi quilt. Thing is the Aldi quilt is slippery and I would like to find a way that I can attach it to the EE quilt, so it doesn't fall off in the night. I'm thinking attaching it in 4 places might suffice, but I'm wondering what might be the be the best way to do this?Press studs would probably work, (but I've never used them) or perhaps Velcro tabs? I'm also wondering if I could attach the elastic strap that came with the EE quilt, but I seem to have mislaid it.... Anyone any bright ideas?

Cheers,

Adrian

Buttons and elastic loops
I shop at ALDI but I'm not familiar with any quilts from there. But that said why not simply wear extra clothing?

Buttons and elastic loops, great idea! Re its origins I think I stuffed up..... It's one of those down throws that was offered by a wholesale chain store, Costco? I'm already taking thermals and a duvet jacket that I can wear to bed if needed, I just thought the option of another layer as a good idea if needed.

Cheers,

Adrian

CostCo quilts inside the EE should work fine. Others here have done similar things
