MYOG HyperD 300 Backpack

Postby flywire » Thu 18 Jun, 2015 8:32 pm

I have been looking for a framed pack that looks achievable. What do you think of this 800g pack: http://ripstopbytheroll.com/pages/myog-hyperd-300-backpack

Don't miss the materials list here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-_m_rUc9s41MzhUNDJ1MEtLZ0U/view?usp=sharing. Any thoughts on replacing the carbon fibre straps with carbon fibre hollow rod?

I didn't realize zpacks made a pretty red arc blast....

The reason they use flat straps is that they only bend in one dimension. This results in a pack that curves to fit your back and doesn't bend inwards.
Men wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful.

I'd like to raise this one again. It doesn't seem practical to me to get the carbon fibre straps from the USA and besides I'm off in less than 2 months. Any thoughts?

No they do not have the required size but I searched again and have found others that do.

Thank you.

Sorry, I missed the ".".

It looks like the remote planes etc use it but the stocked sizes seem to vary greatly. I'll keep searching for "Carbon Fibre" and working through the sizes.
