GPS Tracking

Postby PeterJ » Mon 03 Mar, 2008 10:10 pm

I had my GPS on to help locate a campsite but when I got there I put the unit in my pocket, but forgot to turn it off. I only discovered this mid morning next day and have just downloaded and viewed the track record on the map. What an amazing multitude of tracks I made about the campsite, including heading off to find water. Quite amusing

it really is quite fun looking back on where you were. Even with in car navigator this can be fun. I have track of my last Mainland trip with work. you can even almost make out the circle work i did in hire car :P

I plan on tracking the walk this weekend and plotting it in GE when i get out.
