suggestions for city slickers: organised bushwalks xmas 08

Postby bongobongo » Mon 08 Dec, 2008 11:12 pm

hi all

happy to stumble on this site whilst doing some research.

we are a sydney city slicker couple who both love exploring nature [we have even been horseriding through a game park at dawn in africa which was quite sensational].

we are excited to come to Tasmania for the first time this year. (Over Christmas and New Year).

we are trying to find good options of an organised walk/hike for between 2-4 nights over the Christmas/New Year period. whilst we love bushwalks we aren't that experienced so feel an organised option is best for us.

we were wondering if any of you can recommend/have had experience with any companies we can look into?

we are open to all areas of Tasmania.

We are both relatively fit but by no means professional athletes! We would also enjoy using the opportunity to meet some friendly fellow nature lovers.

We know we have left it late but thought we may still get lucky .

Regards from a wet Sydney

This topic has been coverd to some extent in this thread. Check out the websites of the various operators for more details on itineraries and costs. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=951&p=7511&hilit=expeditions#p7511
