Bungonia packraft testerweekend

Postby paradza » Tue 07 Apr, 2015 9:25 pm

Had a good little adventure.
Trialed these neat little dinghys made by Klymit (the sleeping mat people). they're a good cheaper option to the Alpacker. Good enough for Class #1 & 2 rapids. Just a little Slow across the flats.

Thanks for the report. Must get down that way myself with the rafts. Might need a few more days or a bit more flow by the sounds of things.

Quick question: did you access Matadoro Ridge from Bungonia village itself rather than from near the campground/ SRA office? Did you know gates would be unlocked or did you plan to walk from the gates?
Any other tips
Cheers

Lizzy, yes entered at matador ridge. Great views down. Bit of a slog. And we had planned to walk from how ever far we could get. I had seen something either on this forum or packraft.org
great river.
