Photos and a report can be found via the above link.
With all of this rain this week it could be a good time ,when it clears to get up to the AAWT between The Nobs and Mt. Magdala while the springs, streams and soaks have been replenished.

Thanks for the report. I could not believe the Nobs track when I went down it. Very tough on the legs - but happy not to have gone up it..
For a few years running I have been up that way in late Oct/Nov with the school kids in small groups everywhere - and yes they certainly go over McDonald and through to the King Billies on the AAWT.
A bit lonelier this year heading past Speculation out to the Razor. [They were camped on Spec though]

You really should have gone to the far Nob - I reckon it had the better views.
This is my current screen background.

I preferred going up the Nobs track to descending it . I am OK at steep up hill slogs. I will go back and visit the Far Nob next time.

Yep, the southern summit has better views and is only five to ten minutes away. Nice easy going along the open ridge.

I made it out to the Other Nob. It was as you people above have said, it offers a better view and was well worth the effort this time.
