Brisbane Ranges: Anakie Gorge Circuit

Postby vorpal » Sat 02 Nov, 2013 8:51 pm

Hey Guys,

Completed the Anakie Gorge Circuit today as outlined in John Chapman's Day Walk Melbourne book (may be the Victorian one, not sure). Was pretty nice. I saw a woman coming the other day and we thought that the other way may have been easier, but once we got to Stony Creek we realised how hard it must have been for her. Glad we went the way outlined in the book.

Was a beautiful day out there. The track is in pretty good condition. Didn't run into any problems at all. Dad nearly stepped on a lizard and scared the bejebees out of him and myself, but didn't see one snake on the trail which is always nice.

Got a couple pictures here, and the circuit and gradient for anyone who's thinking about this walk.
