South West Tasmania - being printed

Postby chapman » Sun 24 Sep, 2017 3:46 pm

The 6th edition has been printed, we have seen an advance copy (and its been sold) and the main stock is on a ship to Australia - due to land October 23rd. It will take from 1 to 3 weeks for stocks to get into all the shops. Also in the same shipment is a new edition of South Coast Track and Day Walks Melbourne. Copies can be pre-ordered from us or from a number of other online sellers who are also taking orders.

For those with the 5th edition, changes are not major. The notes have been updated where needed due to changes due to fires on the Arthur Plains (Cracroft Crossing area significantly changed), the new hut at Lake Tahune which will soon be built etc etc, overall all small changes from the 5th edition. Achange has been to transport, essentially there are now no bus services and in many cases a small cheap hire left at Scotts Peak, or other access points is cheaper than getting charter transport and also is more flexible. The only new notes in this edition are brief notes on how to find Daverns Cavern. The book is the same size as before, 224 pages.

I have placed this notice here as I have been getting multiple emails asking about the next edition, its easier to answer many of you with a single post.
