Larapinta best multiday section?

Postby Lukec » Sat 19 Mar, 2016 9:04 pm

Hi there,
Me and a friend have about 5-6 days to do a section of the trail in July. I like the look of sections 3-5, however transport appears to be a problem at both ends (we won't have a car/4wd). Does anyone know of any operators who can get you to Jay Creek and Hugh gorge?
Or suggest another suitably scenic section that the commercial operators can access?
Much appreciated,
Cheers

We used tailormade tours last year because they seem to be one of the more flexible operators, will do pick ups and drop offs when you want. http://www.tailormadetours.com.au/tours ... nta-trail/

However they wont access Jay Ck and Hugh Gorge. If you think 3 sections is about right for you I'd suggest Standley Chasm to Ellery. That takes in some of the best ridge walking. (But my experience is only based on walking Simpsons Gap to Ellery).
