Falls Creek in ski season

Postby Moondog55 » Thu 14 Mar, 2024 5:19 pm

I raided my bank account and I've paid for an old farts ski pass and parking. So I'll be at and around the Pretty Valley camp grounds at some time during the ski season. If anybody wants to join me in setting up a base camp or simply dropping in for coffee etc
Starting preparations from now, especially firewood for the stash.

Parking isn't cheap. The parking season pass is $400-500!

That being said, I've been thinking about doing a Vic tour of the ski resorts in August, including some backcountry at Baw Baw and Buffalo.

See how the 2024 snow season pans out, but a backcountry sojourn to Pretty Valley, under your tuteledge, sounds like fun.

I'm happy to earn some turns but more interested in taking photos.

Sorry I can't help with the prep, but I'm more than happy to donate a day pass pack mulling some supplies in August.

Yes parking charges are insane but unavoidable for the safety and convenience.

If I you do come some help with hauling in food and goodies. extra stuff won't go astray. Maybe get a couple of boxes of firewood on your way up. Firewood is always in short supply
