Overnight Suggestion

Postby nathanashton » Thu 24 Mar, 2011 8:34 am

Hi All,

Another person here after an overnight hike suggestion. Looking for an opportunity to test out some new gear (tent, bag etc).

Was thinking maybe Binna Burra to Woonoongoora walkers' camp, then next day to Springbrook. Only because I hear the overnight campsite is quite spectacular.

Any comments or suggestions appreciated.

Cheers

If you want to have a look at that campsite I'd be more inclined to just do a return walk from Springbrook. Not a huge walk but you can take your time at the various creeks etc.

Yep, another idea might be walk from Yellowpinch up to Rum jungle on top of Mt Barney, camp overnight, walk back down. You could go up Peasant's ridge.

mt Barney Junction is a great place for overnighters , you camp near the creek which is really cool to explore and if you're keen you can go up the gorge to the Rum Jungle.
