Somewhere in SE QLD

Postby ausmomo » Wed 17 Jun, 2015 6:37 pm

Gday all,

My first post here, and I must apologise in advance for the crudeness of my question!

A few months back I was watching one of the Sunday arvo holiday shows (Great South East perhaps?), and they had a segment on a 4wd tour company that operated SOMEWHERE in SEQ. It was roughly in the area between the QLD/NSW border, Warwick, and then east to the coast (although the region was inland).

The region was, IMO, beautiful. Green rolling hills, grassy. Hilly. Not the wooded forests of places like Lamington NP.

Kind of like the hinterland near Maleny.

Does anyone know where this might be? I'm not at all familiar with the area. If terrain of that description is common in SEQ, can someone please suggest a nice area for 30-50km hikes?

thanks :)
