Anyone hiked the Misty Mountains post Yasi?

Postby Happy Pirate » Tue 26 Mar, 2013 8:57 pm

Looking to go over easter, wondering if anyone has any track condition details?

BTW look out for man-eating Cassowaries on the Nandroya Falls circuit. Got chased by a seriously big grumpy bird who had had a go at 2 tourists just before me.

Now I have another tale to tell :)

cheers
Steve

Walked in a short way (couple of hours) from Cochable Creek last year. Cyclone damage was surprisingly little. I think it may be just north enough to have suffered relatively little.

Good to hear.
I didn't see much damage in Palmerston but I think that area is kept pretty safe. Except for the killer birds.
Saw a lot more damage around Broadwater.
cheers
