Hi Everyone,
Just relocated a few months ago back up to Northside of Brisbane after several years in NSW, and am looking for a decent overnighter, preferably if a mountain is involved. I'll be taking an 11 year old, whom I would have no problem taking on the Six Foot Track in the Blue Mountains, and wants to hike the overland track next year. So we're looking for a moderately difficult walk (but Mt Barney is a bit too hard I think), with an overnight camp and return to car the next day.
Prepared to drive several hours in any direction. Have thought about Mt Warning, and the Bunya Mountains, but looking for other ideas.
I've just been informed as I've been typing this that the 6 year old may want to come too, so suggesting for the aforementioned hike, and also some easier not so hilly walks just incase the 6 year old comes too.
Thanks,
Andrew
P.S. I picked up a copy of Take-a-walk in SE Qld, and it has many great daywalks, maybe some suggestions on some of those we could link together too.
