Hiking with a Dog

Postby Highlander » Mon 16 Jul, 2012 12:12 pm

I am new to this site so I am not sure if this has been asked and answered many times, but are there any hiking trails that are dog friendly in Queensland, near Gold Coast/ Brisbane area.

Karawatha - from Illaweena St Stretton, or Acacia Rd Karawatha - Tracks are now shown on Google Maps - most visible on satellite view, and see karawatha.com - some high granite bits and some creeks with platypus. -bigger than Toohey forest [via Isabella St Tarragindi - though I am not sure about Dogs in Toohey; google toohey forest]
Also towards Tamborine : Plunkett Conservation park off Quinzeh Creek Road and off Swanborough road - some very high bits, granite tops and rather unspoilt apart from the 4WDs in the south.
