Prom parking in August

Hi,

I was wondering if it's OK to park at Telegraph Saddle for the Southern Circuit in August. I'm thinking about the car being in 1 piece after a few nights while I hike. Also, how are the tracks at the moment?

I hiked from Telegraph saddle (bus up from Tidal) to LWB, then second day to Oberon Bay, then back to Tidal third day in April, so car was parked in overnight hikers carpark last time as there was a shuttle service. This time, I was thinking of Telegraph saddle to Sealer's, then next day to LWB, then return to Telegraph Saddle or maybe Telegraph to Roaring Meg, then to LWB, then return to Telegraph Saddle 3rd day.

Is it OK at Telegraph saddle or better to park in overnight hikers carpark and walk the extra distance?

Thanks
Brian.

We left a car there for 2 nights (at telegraph saddle) and it was fine. That climb back up there though...

You'll be fine to park at the Telegraph Saddle carpark as the shuttle won't be running.

As for the tracks, I did Telegraph Saddle -> Telegraph Track Junction -> Waterloo -> Light station -> Roaring Meg -> Halfway Hut (camped; water in the tank) -> Waterloo -> Refuge -> Sealers -> Telegraph Saddle two weeks ago. There were a few small trees down between Waterloo and Refuge, and a couple of big trees down between Sealers and Telegraph Saddle, the crown of one being across the track. Tracks were otherwise in very good condition, but my info is 2 weeks out of date. There was partial flooding in the Lt. Waterloo camp, but plenty of other spaces.

I remember back in December on a day walk to Sealers there was a tree down not far from the windy saddle side of the boardwalk. Might prove fun with a backpack if there are tree to navigate like that...
Handy info, Thanks!

Just returned from a 3 day/2 night hike in the Prom.
Easter Circuit. Telegraph Saddle to Little Waterloo Bay. LWB to Sealer's cove and then back to Telegraph saddle today.
Car was fine in Telegraph saddle carpark.
Tracks were clear, no trees down.
Even in winter with a bit of rain (Friday), the Prom. doesn't disappoint.
Thanks for the advice!

Can you upload images here. Or do they need to be in the cloud and linked to?
I was going to post a few images from the walk.

You can attach pics directly to your post, no need for a host. There's also a trip report section if you want to do a full account.

Sorry for extra post. Didn't realize I needed to resize images so under 3Mb to upload.
