Present water situation on Mt. Stirling

Postby paidal_chalne_vala » Wed 13 Mar, 2019 9:21 pm

Hi. I am going up to camp and walk around the summit area of Mt. Stirling as well as scout out Hut. No. 3. We will probably hike up from Howqua gap and keep an eye out for the ruined "keep dry" hut .What is the water situation like out there at present?. I plan to head up on Monday next week with a friend.

PCV,
Keep Dry is tucked into the bush and has collapsed down but should show above the growth around it.
I don't have the current situation water wise but a strong spring crosses Stonefly not far from Keep Dry.
It would be a good chance to be still flowing.
