Cooyoyo Creek

Postby casey79 » Tue 16 Jan, 2018 5:02 pm

Hi All

We are planning a copule of days in the Budawangs this weekend.

Just checking if anyone has been there recently and knows if there is any water at Cooyoyo Creek lately?

I know we will need to carry extra water, but how much??

TIA

Thanks Lizzy

I spotted that thread but as it's from 2012 I was hoping for some more up to date info.

Cheers

For anyone who stumbles across this, there was plenty of water although it wasn't flowing that strongly even after some heavy rain the week before. It's a pretty big creek, I'd be surprised if it ever really dries up.

I'm planning a hike up to Cooyoyo creek campsite next week and just wondering if anyone who's been there lately, can tell me if there is any water in Cooyoyo creek? I was there nearly 20 years ago, in hot weather and it was completely dried up. So I'm a bit scared going there, especially with my 14 year old son, if there's no water. I can't possibly carry 8kg of water up Kaliana ridge!
