Maybe coming off Lightning Ridge onto the ridge that divides the Lonely Tarns?

Hmm - Wedge and Anne at the back - Ragged Range and Saw Back Range closer in...
Might be close to a big cliff dropping into the Gordon River.

If its not the top of Gordon Gorge, then maybe you would accept somewhere going up the Stepped Hills?

It's not Stepped Hills either. Although I am keen to visit there too..
Stepped Hills are very very close by...

You're too far south there,
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the name of the range I'm on yet.
I'm on my way to a well visited feature on this range, but accessing via a different way than the normal route..

Yep you got it.... I'm basically at the point where Stepped Hills ridge connects to the Dension Range. I had ascended the Range at it's SE corner, leaving the Rassela's track a little after Gordonvale
