Ah tc. You moved about the right distance but not in the right direction. This peak looks very different when you see it from the north, where it sits more regally near the lake of the same name. It's in much better camping country than the scrubby rim of the tiers.

Looks to me like Little Horn and Cradle Mtn, in which case you'd be looking across the Forth River valley. Not sure where from though. Maybe February Plains or Borridale Plains. I haven't been to either so can't say if it looks right or not.

I think it will be fairly easy to establish the general area, but I may need to provide some clues if people can't pin-point the specific location quickly.
