Vanuatu?

Postby neil_fahey » Tue 15 Dec, 2009 1:37 pm

Just found out my mate is getting married in Vanuatu at about this time in 2 years (2011) so we're keen to find out about hiking opportunities... Don't know which island yet but if there's something worth seeing/doing on any island we can try to make it happen. Anyone been? Open to hearing about any suggestions of hikes or must-see natural wonders!

I see it's quite hot and humid there this time of year... We visited Hamilton Island in December 2005 with big plans to hike the island but the humidity was too much for us - are we going to end up piking again?

Cheers
Neil

*drooool* Caves! Loveerly caves. Flooded caves, diveable caves.

Ocean diving's OK too, I suppose.

Caves for hiking through? If so, what part of Vanuatu are we talking?

I'm a keen snorkeller but diving scares the bejeezus out of me!!!

Thanks for the reply!

Ummmm, I don't know about any walkable (or even crawlable) caves, just the diveable ones. Never thought about Vanuatu as a walking place, for me it's all about the diving.
And diving is easier (and in many ways safer) than snorkelling.

Thanks anyway scavenger... Never thought of it as a walking place myself either but since I'm going there I was curious if anyone else knew of any walks.

My fear of diving probably isn't all that rational but it's not something I can get over very easily I'm afraid!
