Nepal Routes: 2 weeks, less common trek advice required

Hi All,

I am lucky enough to be heading to Nepal for 3 weeks in October. Of this time, it is likely that we will have 13 or 14 days ex Kathmandu for a trek.

We have been on a handful of treks previously, and thus don't want to revisit the Everest, Langtang/Helambu, Manaslu or Annapurna regions.

We are thinking that perhaps Jomsom to Lo Manthang return could be a good option? Flying in and out of Jomsom. My major concerns with this is that the road will have been detrimental to the trek, perhaps there is too much time spent on or near a dusty or muddy road. All my guide books well and truly pre-date the road. I don't know how it would be. If anyone has been in the last few years and can shed some light that would be great.

Another thoughts were lower Dolpo, but I don't think we have time to do a good circuit.

Does any one have any good recommendations?

Thanks everyone in advance.

Justin.
