Hi BW. The route passes through private property (Sky Farm) - if you want to do the polite thing, PM me and I can give you contact details. From Claremont, you drive up Abbotsfield Rd about 2 km, then turn right into Toffolis Rd and left into Sky Farm Rd and drive another 2 km. Park near a gate at the start of a road on sharp left. Climb over gate and follow the road all the way to the top, roughly 4 km. The true summit is 400 metres south of the fire tower - last part is a bit scrubby. There are some very impressive cliffs overhanging the road at one point.
Cheers,
RJ

You can also walk up from the Lyell highway at a spot marked as Copper Alley Gully and Hill
