Hi all,

Was after some recommendations for a 1-3 night hike in Tasmania. Going in January and looking for a hike that is not too technical but still showcases the wonderful wilderness of Tasmania. Was thinking, Frenchman's cap (without climbing the cap), Lake Rhona, and other things in the mount field, Franklin-Gordon Area. The group has done some longish hikes, however does not want to attempt anything crazy difficult.

Thank you!

Hannah

You need to register for the Walls walk as well. January (holidays) would be busy. 36 allowed per day.

Frenchmans Cap is fully booked for January, Walls has some spaces on the 17th and 19th onwards (so far)

There are other routes in the Walls than the main circuit. Moses Creek Track and up to the Cathedral Plateau, for instance. Long Tarns track past Rinadina and into the Main Walls area or via Mersey Crag to Clumner. Higgs and Ritters to the Walls. Form a loop from Mackenzie using the Explorer and Blue Peaks tracks. Some of that terrain is off-track but it's pretty easy walking.
Cuvier Valley, climb Byron, past Narcissus and into Pine Valley, explore a bit of the Labyrinth and the DuCanes.
Part of the PCT, maybe from Taylors over the Black Bluff Range into Pencil Pine.

Do some daywalks as well; things like Wedge, Sprent, Wylds Craig, Sentinel Range, King William I, Adamsons, Skinner to Snowy South. Heaps of tracks out there if you have to have a track.

Thank you! Walls of Jerusalem sounds great, as do some of the day walks. :)
