Rats Castle.

Postby Buddy » Sat 04 Apr, 2020 10:01 pm

I have heard that there are exceptionally good cushion plants on Rats Castle. Can anyone advise me whereabouts they are to be found? Thanks in advance.

Nothing but rock up there.... on the plateau behind though and on the plains under split rock I remember seeing quote a few.
Nothing to see here.

Very little of the cushion plant community east of the tier around Split/Rats survived last year's fires. Haven't been up close on the western side since, but I doubt there's much left there either, as that was one of the worst hit areas.
There is some good stuff on the boggy flats just north of Pine Lake, and in the gap between Adams Peak and the tier west of the lake. That's your best bet on the easily accessible parts of the northern plateau right now.
