New logo/slogan

Postby north-north-west » Tue 31 Mar, 2020 5:01 pm

It's time we updated the island's official symbols. Enough with the thylacines (which we killed), the devils (which we are doing our best to kill) and the forests (which we are cutting down and burning much faster than they can grow). We need something catchier, something that will connect with people everywhere. Something that will bring us to the front of their minds wherever they are.
This is my suggestion. What's yours?

The first thing i think of when i think of Tassie is MUD.

Reminds me of going for a walk in a bushfire affected area where signs are placed by the local land managers advising that "trees may drop branches".

Perhaps engaging an Aborginal artist or group would be a good idea?

How about "Here today- logged tomorrow".

In the past in Tassie it was "Sacred one day, damned the next.".
"Perfection is attained not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing more to remove".

After living for 8 years on the West Coast, whenever I thought of Tassie it always used to be "Wet". With climate change that isn't the case so much in recent years.
