Lake Myrtle

Postby Millie Perth » Thu 13 Feb, 2020 6:24 pm

Thinking of doing overnight walk to Lake Myrtle via Lake Bill. I have track notes which are quite out dated. Any tips or suggestions appreciated

The track hasn't changed much except for a re-routing around the cushion moor to the north of Lake Bill. Due to fire going through the region a few years back, there may be a few fallen trees. Tapes were regular through the forest section when I was there 6 months ago.

Second that Pazaar, was in there a few weeks ago. Track is well defined, Seems a fair few people have had fires in there which is really uncool so please don't do that!
More tape than you can poke a stick at and so you won't have any worries about getting lost. Enjoy!

Thank you that’s great info. Definitely no fires for this bush walker!! Very disappointed to see a person lighting a camp fire at Huon Campground this week. We did have chat and he thanked us and said that he didn’t know!!
