Q: March Overnighting up on Labyrinth and Acropolis

Postby enduro » Mon 20 Jan, 2020 8:21 pm

Hi all,

I'm off in March to do the OT for the second time, last time was 10 years ago

Having done a couple of hikes in TAS and been hiking and bushwalking for 30 years and competent at nav and have gear to support me ...

Anyway, I plan to stay a few nights at Pine Valley and do Labyrinth and Acropolis while there either as day trips or overnighters. Last time I only got to see Labyrinth and walk down to L. Elysia. I love a bit of photography and weather permitting would like to stay overnight at each location.

Has anyone else stayed up there and if so are you aware of any usable locations to set up a 2 man tent or other ideas.

Thanks.

Pine Valley hut has good tent platforms and toilets as for Elysia it would be advisable to tent and toilet a good distance back off the lake as it’s a very sensitive area.
