Access to Frecenet

Does anyone know the availability of buses that might travel from Hobart to the peninsula? I have driven there in a hire car and remember the trip being around 1 to 1.5 hrs from memory?
I have read on a few websites that buses operate around the area but am unsure whether they are local or tourist busses and if they need to be booked.
