Lake Rhona toilet?

Postby Fin » Tue 20 Jan, 2009 11:23 pm

I was part of a walking chat a week or so ago about problems at Lake Rhona with 'waste disposal.' With more and more people visiting the area particularly over summer I wondered if anyone thinks it's worth having a fly in/out toilet drum there like those in the Arthurs, or someting similar, to limit drinking water contamination?

Went there the Easter before last in perfect weather. Counted 24 fellow trekkers. Being easier to acces now it certainly warrants something permanent.

There were a few comments about this topic in this thread. Who make the decision about where toilets are located and what can be done to influence that decision?
